Flood Warning issued on 3 Nov 2022 20:09
Uck, Ouse
The River Uck is high in Isfield but is now falling, after more than half a month's rain (60mm) was recorded at Buxted during Thursday morning (03/11/22). Flooding will continue to affect properties at Isfield Mill and Isfield Bridge as well as fields, rural roads and gardens. Another 10mm of rain is forecast Thursday evening, which could cause river levels to rise again. However, we don’t currently think river levels in Isfield will rise higher than their peak seen on Thursday afternoon. It should be mostly dry on Friday which should allow the Uck to fall to nearer normal levels. Please take proactive action to help reduce the impact of flooding. Please keep flood protection products installed in Isfield, if you have them. We continue to monitor the levels and forecast. We will update this message by 12:00 on 04/11/2022.

Uck, Ouse
The River Uck is now slowly starting to fall at Isfield, but remains higher than normal. Minor flood impacts affecting fields, rural roads, and riverside properties around Isfield Mill, Isfield Bridge and the Old Mill properties at White Bridge will remain until Monday (16/11/2020). A brief period of rain will clear to the east from 18:30 Sunday (15/11/2020), which will probably cause river levels to rise again, for a short period of time (until 20:00 15/11/2020). River levels are predicted to remain lower than their peak earlier on Sunday. Following Sunday afternoon’s showers, the weather should remain largely dry until Wednesday (18/11/2020), which will allow river levels to fall and return to more normal levels by Monday afternoon (16/11/2020). The River Uck is high and rising, following an intense band of rain Sunday morning. Small amounts of rain are possible this afternoon and this evening, but should not cause river levels to increase significantly, and Monday and Tuesday are forecast to be dry. With more showers Sunday afternoon, river levels might not peak until 20:00 15/11/2020, but with Monday and Tuesday largely dry, the River Uck should return to normal by Monday morning. Uck, Ouse
The River Uck has been rising steadily in response to 25mm of rainfall today. River levels are predicted to continue rising further this evening, and flooding is expected from 21:00 05/03/2020. Isolated properties near to Isfield Mill are expected to be affected, as well as rural roads, gardens and extensively through nearby fields. Thursday evening (05/03/2020) and Friday (06/03/2020) should be relatively dry, so river levels are expected to begin to fall from 06:00 on Friday (06/03/2020), returning to more normal levels by Friday afternoon. However, further rain is forecast into next week and so levels may rise, and flood risk could return again. Flood protection products are recommended to be installed in Isfield now, if you have them, to reduce the impact of flooding. We continue to monitor the levels and forecast. We will update this message by 14:00 06/03/2020.
